Reflections of the past and the man who molded our future

Mission Petroleum Company:

Although Mission Petroleum Carriers were sold along with Sigmor to Diamond Shamrock on January 14, 1983, it was repurchased by Mr. Turner and put in the holding company now called TETCO, Inc. Mission Petroleum Carriers operate over one thousand trucks and trailers throughout the United States. Tom Turner was proud of being an American and displayed the American Flag on every truck to show that he was part of the “American Dream”. Tom Turner had after all actually driven a truck to deliver his own gas at night after owning only 2 service stations. One his wife Mary ran during the day the other he ran. Besides the Convince stores and gas stations, “It would be fair to say trucking was the favorite business because it is something we’ve been doing since my dad opened the third service station” Tom Turner, Jr. said. “The rest of them are fun, but we just haven’t been doing them as long.”
